What We Do
Our holiday workshops are designed primarily to give children something to do over the holidays. We provide a care free, fun environment filled with activities for children to do for the day that potentially keeps them off of the streets, out of trouble and prevents the worst possible scenario that could ever come over a youngster-BORDEM.
The day consists of a five-hour slot from 10am-3pm. The children learn how to work as a part of a team by learning each other’s names by a sticker put on them by a member of staff as they enter the gym. The coaches allocate a team captain and it is the captain’s job to keep the rest of their team organised and under control. This gives the children an opportunity to have some authority and learn how it feels to be the head of a team. The team must work as a unit to build up enough points in 
order to potentially win the competition and the prizes that go with it. Points can be given out throughout the day by the coaches for a number of different reasons:
Winning team games and races, trying hard, good gymnastics or basic good behaviour from the children. Prizes are also given throughout the day to the children when situations arise that something special has been done and must be rewarded!
The children have a lunch break allocated to them where a well-earned rest is taken and they can gather their strength for the second part of the day. This consists of the children again working together as a team in order to learn a reasonably complex routine. This includes a mixture of basic elements that the children have learnt throughout the day as well as choreographed manoeuvres added to music, which is put together by a member of our dance team!
Although this is a gymnastic workshop, as an Academy we don’t put any pressure on the children to do strenuous amounts of gymnastics. We let the children work at their own pace; so if your child has never done gymnastics before don’t panic! We as coaches are there to help the children in whatever way we can. Whether it is helping the child to try and achieve a new skill, giving them 
enough encouragement to make them confident enough to interact with others and try new things or to do the most important thing: HAVE FUN, that is what we are here for!
J’amies Gymnastics Academy is a fresh new idea which has never been seen before in the Beckenham/Bromley area. As a business we have the children’s interests at heart .We provide a service which gives children something new and exciting to do to during their holidays which ultimately prevents them spending all day on the PLAYSTATION. They get to make new friends and generally have a fun-filled day.
